On Saturday, February 1st, fifth graders in Armory College Prep’s Great Minds program participated in FIRST LEGO League’s Robotics Qualifier at City Knoll Middle School.

Three teams competed. Two teams took home tickets to the semifinals, which will take place on February 29th, for their high cumulative scores in the robotics and research components of the competition. They will join a team of eighth graders from the Armory College Prep middle school program headed to the next round.

Great Minds students also earned the Innovation & Strategy Award as well as the Research Award on Saturday.
