2 Year Anniversary of SENIORS AIM HIGH!

On August 8, we marked the second anniversary of Seniors AIM High at The Armory, an initiative that brings together adults aged 60+ from throughout Upper Manhattan. With the track under construction this August, the Seniors AIM High program continued right outside The Armory at Haven Plaza, with over 150 seniors pursuing their wellness and fitness on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The seniors also celebrated National Friendship Day on July 30th, where they were encouraged to make a new friend during the session, before participating in National Wellness Month throughout August. As the program pivoted to an outdoor format, the seniors’ routines included cardio dance classes such as Salsa, Line Dancing, Hip-Hop, and Soul Kickboxing.

Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York-Presbyterian and Harlem Community Development Corporation are the generous sponsors who help make this program a reality.
