Remembering Dr. Norbert Sander

Dr. Sander’s Legacy

Today, The Armory Foundation celebrates the life and legacy of our late founder, Dr. Norbert Sander, on the fourth anniversary of his passing. Renovated in the early 1990s and transformed into the nation’s most decorated indoor track and field center, The Armory is nothing less than “The House that Doc Built.” From our after-school athletic programming and Armory College Prep, to his Dr. Sander Legacy Fund and Dr. Sander Invitational namesakes, Norb’s mission of keeping kids on track in our community through fitness and education persists every day.
