President of HBO Documentary Films & Family Programming Visits ACP

The vivacious Sheila Nevins, President of HBO Documentary Films and Family Programming recently took time out of her busy schedule to come talk to The Armory College Prep Students.  Her award winning documentary Triangle: Remembering the Fire was shown and was followed by a reading from her book You Don't Look Your Age...and Other Fairy Tales of her essay about her great aunt who perished in the 1911 garment factory fire.  The students asked her questions regarding immigration, women in the workplace, ambition, and how storytelling shaped her life.  Ms. Nevins' funny and philosophical answers enraptured the room of aspiring college bound high schoolers.
