Mary Rose Wins Best Documentary!

On Sunday, September 9th, 2018, Mary Rose Synek, the Director of Arts Development of Armory College Prep was awarded the Best Documentary of the 2018 Hell's Kitchen Film Festival.  Mary Rose's award-winning PROSE Awards film, “Aldon Morris: The Scholar Affirmed”,  a 21- minute film, was the opening selection of the 2018 Hell’s Kitchen Film Festival, on Friday, September 7, at 4 pm. Mary Rose is the writer/director, and she was at the viewing, along with her subject, the esteemed African-American sociologist Dr. Aldon Morris of Northwestern University.  Many of the students from Armory College Prep were also in attendance.
