On this day we fondly remember our visionary founder of The Armory Foundation, Dr. Norbert W. Sander, Jr.  He was an inspired human being who saw this building and what could be possible.  Each year, The Armory welcomes hundreds of thousands of track & field athletes along with their fans, and Dr. Sander was able to envision this eventuality, decades ago. 

 We miss his tremendous spirit and warm laughter each and every day.
