Run, Jump, and Trick-or-Treat at the Uptown Games!
On Sunday, October 27th, 2024, we will have a spook-tacular afternoon of fun and games at The Armory. Children (grades 1-8) and their families from the neighborhoods of Washington Heights, Inwood, and Harlem are all invited for an afternoon of fun. Children will have the opportunity to compete on the “World’s Fastest Indoor Track” and participate in numerous track & field events.
When and Where is the event?
The Uptown Games will take place on Halloween, Sunday October 27th, 2024. Doors will open at 9:45 AM. It will take place The Armory track & field at 216 Fort Washington Ave, NY, NY 10032. The entrance is on Fort Washington Ave between 168th and 169th Streets.
Who can join?
Children in grades 1-8 who live or go to school in Washington Heights, Inwood, or Harlem are eligible to participate in the Uptown Games.
How much does it cost?
There is no fee. We only ask that if you register your child or children, you are making a commitment to attend the event. We use the information gathered from the registration forms to plan a fun day!
Will there be treats?
Yes! We have lots of surprises for all the kids who participate.
Are Costumes Allowed?
Yes! We encourage everyone to wear a costume for this Halloween event. However, we do ask that the following guidelines are followed.
No fake blood or other substances that will spill or cause a mess will be allowed.
Do not wear anything suggestive or provocative in nature.
Nothing that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities. Nothing that is derogatory, disrespectful or portrays violence.
Do not choose a costume that is insensitive and/or offensive to the diverse backgrounds represented by others in our community
