Over the past 20 years, five million visitors have walked through the lobby of The Armory. Whether you’re an athlete, family member, track & field fan, community member, or a guest at one of our special events, your presence and energy left an indelible mark (along with wear and tear)! This work is nearing completion as we get ready to welcome our next five million visitors. We can’t wait to unveil our refreshed lobby with you as we create more memories!

A NEW TRACK IS COMING 

A HUGE Armory-sized thank you to our local elected officials for making the installation of a new track at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory a reality this summer! Nearly five MILLION miles have been run on the track since it was last resurfaced in 2018. We are now installing an entirely new oval, not just resurfacing, and we are confident that the Fastest Track in the World will be even faster than ever!

We are deeply appreciative of Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, New York City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, and Councilmembers Carmen De La Rosa and Shaun Abreu. Thanks to your support, the youth, seniors, families, and athletes from Washington Heights, Inwood, Harlem, and all of NYC will be able to run, jump, and play on our track, where more records have been set than at any other facility worldwide. We are honored to be a part of this community, and we will continue to work relentlessly to provide quality programming for all.
