Armory College Prep Moves Online & Full Speed Ahead

Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, Armory College Prep’s high school, middle school, and Great Minds programs have committed to meeting online. Virtual classes meet throughout the week as would regularly scheduled after-school sessions.

The ACP High School Program continues to take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Upperclassmen focus on college applications and selected literature, and underclassmen work on academic achievement and homework help. Students receive help from the ACP leadership team outside of sessions via calls and video conferences.

The ACP Middle School Program’s Monday/Wednesday & Tuesday/Thursday groups remain, logging in twice each week for activities and discussions. Great Minds fifth graders continue to meet on Fridays.

When high school students began to communicate experiences with remote learning and being at home, the ACP leadership team encouraged them to engage in journaling. Since the initial suggestion, high school students have been writing on their own time and submitting some of their work for ACP’s new virtual journal. The website also includes writing from middle schoolers, who are allotted time to journal during their twice-weekly sessions. Alumni have recently joined the effort as well.
